Here you will be able to see when we plan on doing maintenance on the site and when you can expect the site to be down.

Do to the recent amount of people accessing Moodle at the same time, we will be increasing server capacity every weekday starting at 7 and ending at 4. During this time the server will be down for around 15-20 minutes. If these changes make a difference and do what tey hope we do, it will become a permanent upgrade.
We have found an issue were when uploading large files, the server consumes more memory that it actually has and crashes the database. This issue will be fixed late Friday night into Saturday when nobody is on. Expect the site to be down for a few hours during this time.
Over the break, we will be trying to fix the Time Zone conflict. We will try to have the server be in the same time setting we are so assignments and tests don't end at the wrong time. During this time, Moodle will be for at least 12 hours and nothing can be changed on it or it may be lost. A date for this maintenance will be announced later.
More database upgrades will be made tonight at midnight (December 8th, 2013). We are still expierencing issues where the database crashes especially when multiple people are taking quizzes at the same time. Quizzes use up the most database memory at once over anything else. Please expect the site to be down for at least half an hour.
Moodle will be down today, December 3rd, 2013 at 8PM for a database upgrade. As you problem know there have been connection issues between Moodle and the database. We believe we have found this issue and can easily fix it. However, you cannot use the site as we fix it. The upgrades should take no more than 30 minutes and the site should be back up at 8:30PM tonight (December 3rd, 2013).
